With more than 30 years of experience in various fields and an intrepid traveler to more than 65 countries and counting, Iris has spent most of her professional life in the Travel Industry, holding positions at Micato Safaris as Comptroller, Trustee, and Director of Human Resources.  She previously held a diplomatic position at the United Nations as Ambassador of Honduras Assistant.  Her education includes accounting, finance, human resources, political science, sociology, technology, hospitality, and travel & tourism.  She has spent more than 25 concurrent years in the field of non-profits, serving as Treasurer at AmericaShare; at High Water Women Foundation, helping low-income students build their financial skills; at New Life Fellowship volunteering as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher for adults; and most recently joined the Kiwanis movement of improvement communities for children.  Iris has been a longtime member, and director on the executive board of several travel organizations, such as the 41-74 Club of NY, APTA, ASTA, NACTA, PATA, Skal International, Tourism Cares, FIJET, and others.
